Price and performance do not have to be mutually exclusive...
...this fragrance truly proves that impressively. And it does so without the drawbacks of many budget manufacturers and dupe houses.
What do you get here? The bottle is beautifully designed. Simple, minimalist...nordic indeed. You can easily imagine it on the equally simple shelf of a certain Swedish furniture store. It reflects the scent well on the outside, and the craftsmanship fits here. Nothing to complain about.
Much more important, though, what’s in this bottle: A fresh aquatic scent that comes across as very balanced for me. Not too shower-gel blue, but also not too herb-salty maritime. The citrusy top note is tasteful and not sharp or screaming. The base is sweet, but not intrusive. It definitely doesn’t pull you out of the fjord atmosphere (with freshly washed laundry ;) ).
I am quite sensitive to piercing notes in aquatics, but this one works wonderfully for me. I would describe it overall as rounded, calm, clean, and serious. Longevity is good for me. Projection is rather close to the body, but that doesn’t bother me at all in this case. On the contrary, it makes it even more wearable in a work or travel context at high temperatures.
We should briefly talk about the price. Right now, you can get the 75ml for under €20!! For this overall package, that’s simply a steal. A great example that quality has nothing to do with price, but also that not all budget fragrances have to be screaming versions of expensive scents.
