Fresh citrus paired with the North Sea. Unfortunately, it's too salty and sharp for me, bringing back memories of a fish market, which I don't want to smell like.
This has now prompted me to try the Cocaine Seaman Intense by Rammstein again, which I find more pleasant in that price range. Synthetic sea scent, yes, but at least for me, it's enjoyable.
Scent perception is different for everyone and often tied to memories... and that's exactly the case for me here.
Nordic Waters doesn't smell like fish to me; instead, it has that deep, strong, and somewhat musty sea scent that I remember from my childhood. It reminds me of the harbor and fish market, rather than the open "fresh" sea. Those are the associations and images that come to my mind. I'm sure many others will like it... and I generally do enjoy fresh aquatic scents... but Nordic Waters takes me back to extremely warm summer days at the harbor of Piraeus in Greece... the air is thick and heavy, soaked with the somewhat musty harbor smell that hits you in the nose. Pleasant, unfortunately, looks different to me... but as I said... those are my memories being stirred up, which I don't find particularly positive, so the scent, at least for me, doesn't work.
