Nawab of Oudh Intensivo by Ormonde Jayne honestly took me a couple of tries to appreciate. At first, I didn’t quite know what to make of the fragrance. However, I truly love this extraordinary creation now.
The scent is elusive for me because it constantly changes from the first spray to the drydown. It starts with an intense green citrus note that almost feels pleasantly piercing and immediately grabs attention. After that, it becomes noticeably softer, spicier, and gradually develops this warm, slightly balsamic depth that appears incredibly elegant.
It is precisely this progression that makes the fragrance so exciting for me, as it never remains static or settles too early. Despite the many facets, everything feels surprisingly coherent and of high quality.
Not an easy fragrance and definitely nothing ordinary - but that’s exactly why it has become one of my absolute favorites.
