Ormonde Woman is the grassy, green, conifer scent I was expecting except that instead of being bracing, the scent is surprisingly tender in it's tone. It's got an almost effervescent quality at the opening from the brightness of cardamom as it sits on top of the grassy note which almost has a green hay nuance that contribute warmth. The heart smells of a sun dappled forest. There are no sharp edges here, everything is well blended and smooth. The dry down is woody and still green with a soft musk and just a smidge of amber. Very pleasant and easy to wear. It would make a lovely and distinctive signature scent for anyone who feels moved by it.
