A Lively Dance Under Citrus Trees

In Bergamask, a scent is revealed that captivates my senses and ignites the imagination. Alessandro Gualtieri creates an olfactory composition that not only withstands every season but masters it.

Explosive notes of orange and other citrus fruits unfold in a lively mélange that fills the air with vitality. Alongside this, there is a slight animalic quality that reminds one of sweat. A combination that makes sense, as Gualtieri was likely inspired by a festival in Italy. He observed the locals celebrating and dancing under the lemon trees, enlivened by the Italian sunset.

The longevity of the fragrance is remarkable. After spraying the scent and allowing the oils of the perfume to absorb into the skin, body temperature and sweat act like doping (as with almost all Orto Parisi fragrances). It's as if the scent reactivates itself and takes on a new olfactory direction. Naturally, this all follows a logical progression; perhaps more musk, or the sweaty lemon/orange note becomes a bit more prominent again. This means that Bergamask does not suddenly conjure a leather or rose accord out of thin air after the influence of sweat, etc.

Orto Parisi is a brand known for its unconventional and challenging fragrances. Bergamask is no exception - it is intense, complex, and not for everyone. In its essence, Bergamask is a scent that "wakes up" the senses and blurs the boundaries between the contemporary and a memory.
