Nostalgia in the Nordic Midsummer

Hannele is the embodiment of a film beauty from the era of Heimat films of the 1950s. We are dealing here with a classic floral fragrance, whose pastel tones are meant to represent the Nordic woman from those 50s films. The EdP is like a midsummer night's dream under the Nordic sun.

Hannele is nostalgia for me. Which perfume house still works with lavender, rose, and jasmine in our oh-so-modern times?! The only one that comes to mind is Jicky by Guerlain, and that dates back to 1889.

Hannele and Jicky share similarities: both have floral bouquets, with Hannele additionally featuring a wonderful lilac.

Sandalwood, tonka bean, and vanilla in the soft base. But unlike Jicky, there is no civet here, which should please those who have an issue with it in Jicky.

Hannele is classic, elegant, dreamy. I can't detect any synthetic notes that often bother me. It feels somewhat timeless.

Aside from being a tad too sweet for my taste, Hannele is my test recommendation for all women who have the courage to wear perfumes regardless of trending styles.

PP Perfumes has created an EdP that is economical in use and truly lasts a long time.

A really disappointing scent! Nothing happens, it smells like jasmine and otherwise just has a bit of creaminess, vanilla, cheap! Award for having to smell it and comment.

Oops, older women? Red-cheeked maid in wooden shoes?
At what age do older women start??

I find it really terrible too. The distributor himself says his fragrances are designed for older women. Fits ;)

To me, the scent feels very old-fashioned and a bit "clunky," like a rosy-cheeked maid in wooden shoes! Not for me!

That sounds really tempting! I really like lavender and jasmine too. Trophy for you for that!

Great comment on what seems to be an amazing fragrance. However, I think I'll stay loyal to Jicky ;-)
