Club Nights

When I smell this fragrance today, I immediately think back to long club nights in Ibiza. Not just at Pacha but also in other nightclubs...
It's funny how certain scents are tied to specific things or times. It instantly brings a smile to my lips when I think back to the time I wore it out there...
I discovered the fragrance in Ibiza at the beginning of a vacation, and it quickly became my companion for the long nights there. We were together for two weeks, and then it was over. In Germany, we just didn't match anymore. That's how it is sometimes ;-)

But what was it that I liked so much about it...
Pacha Man starts off for me in a fresh-spicy way that feels very refreshing and invigorating when sprayed on after a hot day at the beach, just before going out in the evening. The bergamot is very prominent at first, and then the thyme and rosemary come into play along with the pepper, adding the spice to the mix.
After a while, the main characters join in: two plump red Pacha cherries (the trademark of this nightclub) accompanied by blackcurrants, which together create a very sweet fruitiness. These two components linger for a long time and accompany the fragrance's development until the end. I can't perceive the guarana, but maybe it's just meant to provide more energy to turn the night into day :-)
In the base, rather masculine cedar and sandalwood notes come in to balance out the sweet heart of the fragrance a bit. I only perceive patchouli subtly, and the white musk gives a clean impression that stays with you until morning, no matter how long the party lasted ;-)
The longevity is good; for a night in Ibiza's clubs, around 6/7 hours is definitely sufficient. And you will definitely be noticed with this fragrance, as it's not exactly quiet...
As for the bottle, I should mention that I own a travel edition (as seen in the photo below), which looks almost like a small slim flask and can easily fit into any toiletry bag, for the return flight or the outbound flight to the next vacation ;-)

Yes, Pacha Man, it was great times with you. At the moment, we’re not going out together anymore, but maybe that will change one day/night when I visit your home island again...

Ah, you remind me of great times. Pacha, Privilege, Anfora... sigh... Very beautifully described, I can really imagine the scent without knowing it, that's how it should be. El Pokale... ;)

Very nicely described, but somehow the 30% don't match the positive vibe of your comment.
