Sensology Volume 5 Paese

The Polish brand Paese was only known to me in terms of cosmetics until now. Recently, their affordable fragrances have also become available in Germany, and of course, I couldn't resist making a blind purchase. And I'm really glad I did because, despite the uninspired name, this is anything but a run-of-the-mill scent.

The fragrance pyramid initially sounds sweet and harmless, but wow, the first spray is so harsh and almost medicinal (clove and cedar?), that I was immediately hooked. After briefly questioning whether something like this is even wearable, everything calmed down, and delicate flowers and woods came into play. I can indeed pick out the apple upon closer sniffing, but thankfully it takes a backseat and simply provides fresh fruitiness, accompanied by a citrus note, likely bergamot.

After about a quarter of an hour, a floral-fruity and herb-woody scent mix with a very subtle sweetness + a lovely spiciness has developed, which truly excites me. Very feminine, suitable for any occasion, whether for the office or a night out, with decent sillage and long-lasting wear. I find Volume 5 both elegant and youthful, and all in all, it's a scent for a deep, deep breath... a lucky find indeed.
