The golden one is much more suitable for everyday wear and more transparent. And less scratchy. I like it too and wear it way more often than the EdP. But my heart belongs to the EdP.

Chypre hasn't really been my thing so far; oakmoss and I have a hard time getting along. BUT after that statement, I can't give up. There's attitude in every single word. Paloma is making it onto my list.
I can totally understand the thing with oakmoss, even if I'm an oakmoss junkie. By the way, the oakmoss is quite present here too - it's just in most Chypres, otherwise they wouldn't be Chypres. Just give it another try from time to time and who knows... You can also be a good person without ever liking a Chypre 😉.
I'm just starting to delve deeper into Chypre/classics, and luckily, there’s plenty out there on the fringes of the mainstream that embodies those qualities. However, I can't help but notice this overall picture of the zeitgeist that craves more appearance than substance...
(Even if this isn't my favorite chypre due to some sharpness...).
