Armonie e Follie - Hurricane Paolo Gigli

I have ordered numerous samples to broaden my horizons, some of which have already arrived. Expanding horizons inevitably takes place beyond the core competencies, and given my age (born in 1960), unisex fragrances are also a territory I have rarely explored so far.
The Hurricane does not come on strong; the top note doesn't knock you over, and the sillage is moderate.
I do not recognize the mentioned fruity notes; my nose cannot differentiate the cocktail into bergamot, pear, and apple. In fact, I perceive the scent as floral right from the start, without being able to say exactly what is blooming there; after about 10 minutes, a rather naturally appearing jasmine takes over quite dominantly. I can only sense rose, but I also think I can smell violets blooming a bit further away, which are not listed in the fragrance pyramid. Perhaps I am mistaken. Woody base note? Well, my generation is somewhat cut from a different cloth. Maybe I perceive a hint of sandalwood. On the skin - or rather on my skin - a pleasant musk-jasmine scent remains. Longevity is mediocre. I will refrain from giving a rating; for my chauvinistically contaminated, outdated taste, this is a women's fragrance. I cannot provide the corresponding skin.
