Well, well, it certainly reads quite interesting what is written in the fragrance pyramid. For a perfume in this price range, complexity, good quality, and finesse are prerequisites for me. However, it is primarily the former that Excentrique pour Homme lacks significantly: I smell almost only a single note throughout the entire scent progression.
This note is admittedly very beautiful, a light green with a truly delicate freshness. The description "melon" comes quite close to this note. Yes, that is something fine! The inherent freshness of this green scent gives it an astonishing depth. This is the same phenomenon that one encounters in the steel-blue freshness of Kenzo pour Homme: almost in Excentrique pour Homme, this punch to the solar plexus is just as perceptible as it is there.
I can hardly bring myself to say it - but the green note reminds me a bit of the unfortunately discontinued cheap scent Adventure by Adidas! The usability is certainly obvious - Excentrique pour Homme is a light spring and summer fragrance, nothing grand, but refreshing and energizing in nice weather.
Of course, the only eccentricity here is the price of over €200!
