Gourmand Spanish Fragrance That Doesn't Overdo It
Well, on my long journey exploring all vintage men's fragrances, I have now, after focusing more on Italy recently, returned to searching in Spain. It's amazing what you can find there (outside of Puig). After "Prime Minister," this is my second (and certainly not last) Parera,
There is little information available about this fragrance here (and elsewhere). The bottle and scent experience clearly place it in the early 80s for me. No fragrance pyramid here? All the better, as I can judge completely unbiased as the first (as is often the case).
Gourmand. Chocolate and cocoa, already in the top notes; however, far removed from the synthetic crimes committed later in this field. Surprisingly, the typical "masculine spice" so characteristic of that time is more or less absent. The warm impression comes right at the beginning and then stays.
Everything is natural from start to finish, unobtrusive, but by no means weak. Good scent. Best available directly from Spain, and vintage sellers on the bay offer it from time to time. Certainly a candidate for the old-schoolers among us.
