With the currently very cool temperatures, I have once again reached for a very rich patchouli scent! Emphasis on RICH. At first, it growls very earthy and cellar-like, then the scent profile even becomes grassy. The bitter aroma of various meadow grasses, as they stretch their finely feathered spike flowers. If you brush past it, a very bitter-green hint wafts into the nose.
This impression lasts quite a while before warm woods (amber, probably also cedar) join in. "Underpinned" by dark vanilla. However, Arthur's Legacy is by no means too sweet. The connection to the earth remains clearly present.
It is one of three scents from the brand Parfume Noire, which I once swapped here at the Souk. The other two will be discussed separately. It's a shame that such brands, which compose very high-quality fragrances, are so unknown. Perhaps it is a small fragrance manufactory, whose perfumes only mean something to "initiates".
Based on my own nose, I can warmly recommend the perfumes, especially for patchouli fans. Classy and very long-lasting!
