"patchouli scents are sometimes right and left"... because this strong tobacco indeed has two faces. "Left" is untamed warm-earthy-dark patchouli breath, "right" has a very warm and woody radiance. It seems that the two sides in Nereide's Gift are competing to scent alongside each other. Sometimes "Left" takes the lead, then again "Right"... like two runners at the same pace. Then the two aromas unite again, creating a "new" fragrance that emerges from this. All of this is so interesting for the nose that I constantly have to "sniff." The surprises, born from curiosity, are sometimes so sudden that the olfactory organ can't adjust quickly enough, not prepared for which "side" is now in front or if both are currently united.
The scent is as enigmatic as the aforementioned ancient Egyptian Sphinx!
