Perfect for daytime
Ellen Betrix Jour is a perfume I found in a second hand store. Luckily, it smells really nice and has not been disrupted in any way, so I shall try to review it. Keep in mind that I do not know the notes, so this is my suggestion to which notes I smell. Other members may smell something different.
It starts out fresh; I smell aldehydes, bergamot and coriander. It has a chalky vibe, a bit like Grès Cabochard, and it makes it so delicious and ‘clean’. As the name indicates this is a daytime scent. After half an hour it becomes floral and powdery. The flower note smells a bit like violets but I am not sure. Finally, the scent becomes musky and this is the end of the 4-5 hours’ journey.
My version of the bottle is tall and square with a plastic top. Not much has been done to make it look good but it is decent.
Being discontinued I would say, that should you stumble across it on your way, do not hesitate to buy it (at a reasonable price of course) since it is worth a try.
