Eau de Gloire
This fragrance opens with medicinal green notes on a base of aromatic woods and light spices. The overall effect reminds me of the central accord found in Chanel N19, even though this Parfums d’Empire is built around the idea of military rather than couture. Despite this, the scent loses its stern and sombre quality as it progresses towards the dry down: at first it morphs into a softer woodsy-aromatic fragrance, to finally become a warm, creamy woodsy base accord with light touches of citrus.
