Athalia Parfums de Marly 2016

Hello dear ones, I’m trying my hand at a comment for the first time today :-)) so here it is.

After stumbling upon "Athalia" while browsing here and realizing it definitely fits my taste, it made it onto my wishlist.
So today, I visited my trusted CB perfumery and found Athalia on the shelf to my great delight. At first, I took a paper strip and sprayed it on expectantly.
Initially, I found it to be an indefinable floral scent, but one that didn’t say much to me. Then I sprayed it on my wrist and walked back and forth in the store, waiting. However, it didn’t become more interesting, and I was disappointed because I had high expectations. When I go to a perfumery and just look around, I choose bottles that appeal to me visually, and I find this one very beautiful and promising.
Well... you can’t force anything, even if the bottle is beautiful.
I left the store.
But wow...... Outside on the street, I suddenly caught a whiff that instantly made me turn back.
It is sweet but not cloyingly sweet, powdery and somewhat floral, although I find it hard to name individual components. Somehow it reminds me of a scent from the past.
I find Athalia simply stunning; my nose is practically glued to my wrist, a scent that embraces me. The nice saleswoman gave me a sample. It is now at the top of my wishlist. As soon as my budget allows, which is currently very strained, I will seize the opportunity, and Athalia will move in with me :-))
