An afternoon in Berlin
In October 2019 I was in Berlin on business. Because I had more time in the afternoon than expected I made a side trip to the KaDeWe. I already had 2-3 fragrances on the screen that I wanted to test, so hurry to the perfumery department. Now I had arrived at Parfums de Marly (unfortunately including sales consultant). As it is like that, I was introduced to almost the complete range. In the end it got a little bit too much for me and I sprayed the Layton Exclusif on my wrist and got right out again.
The fragrance has fascinated me from the beginning. Starting with a fresh but strong opening, the fragrance became softer and warmer as time went by. I still had to sniff my wrist again and again until late in the evening. Even the next morning you could still see the Layton on your clothes.
I thought about buying this (not exactly cheap) perfume for a couple of weeks and if I got a good offer I had to buy it. For me it's not perfume for every day, it's more for special occasions

The "Layton Exclusif" is already very good and I like it much better than the normal "Layton", where I miss the wuerries. But you're right that this fragrance isn't for everyday use, as it's just pretty thick with its woody coffee note.
