Base note? I don't know if it exists here...
Unfortunately, the scent is a bit weak.
Here are the ingredients... unfortunately, due to the poor longevity, there isn't much time for testing. About 5 hours
Apple = Yes, noticeable
Lavender = Yes, but very subdued
Mandarin = Yes... if you know it's there, you can recognize it
Sage = Yes, but very, very weak
Juniper = Yes
Cardamom = No... I can't detect any cardamom anywhere
Geranium = Yes - clearly recognizable
Vetiver = Yes, clear and distinct
Oud = Well, there’s no oud anywhere.... I don't believe there is any oud in it
Musk = Very little detectable
So the bottle gets full marks from me. So massive, elegant with golden embossed lettering and a
beautifully decorated gold key as a pendant. Everything is very angular, the cap is very solid. One might think that the bottle was heavily inspired by Dior Homme, only this one is actually more beautiful. The cap itself is an octagonal cap made of silver aluminum. Here, they clearly want to score points with the appearance, and they certainly succeed.
The scent is definitely summery and leans more towards a fresh direction. It is powdery and apple-like at the same time. Unfortunately, the interesting base note is not as perceivable as described in the fragrance pyramid.
That's a shame, especially since there isn’t even a hint of oud to be found. And I do like oud and know how the different ouds smell. But there is no oud in this one. At least not in my brand new bottle.
The scent is very affordable at 20 US dollars for 120ml, and unfortunately, you can tell. Despite this cheap price, it is NOT a must-have because it is simply too weak and unfortunately lacks a clear characteristic.
It's a pity really... But the bottle is worth the 20 dollars to me. A blind purchase without much fuss.... not bad but also not really good.
