Oh, what a pity, I remember it being much nicer. Not so nice that I would dive headfirst into wet muscatel moss, though. But Lyn usually has a high hit rate, so I鈥檒l forgive her. :)
Haha, yeah, I also found it a bit moist and earthy in the first 30 minutes, but then I liked it better. I鈥檇 be curious to hear what you think of Rain Wood; it really lived up to its name for me.
I'm not quite sure if I'm a victim of my own high expectations here (the name!!!) or if the clary sage is really messing things up for me... Besides the angelica in the top note, that sage, and a bit of moss, I can hardly distinguish any notes. On one hand, my shower gel sensor is slightly triggered, and on the other hand, I put two sweaters in the wash that were both innocent of the slightly musty smell around me. Too bad, but it's not a big deal. I'll get along with Lyn again with the next fragrance. For sure.
the other descriptions aren't very enticing either..
For me, clary sage has a slightly sharp edge to it as well.
And do you have them all now (still)?
Muscatel just doesn't work for me at all.
My shower gel sensor would probably go off too.
