Amber Worthy Successor

I am just so stunned by the Tea Rose line that I had to look Perfumer's Workshop up. Founded by maverick, Donald Bauchner, The Perfumer's Workshop set out to shake up the industry. At a Bloomingdale's fragrance counter, it introduced custom blending by allowing its young and hippie customers to mix its essential oils. Then it created a high-end perfume, Tea Rose, which became an instant classic adored by Princess Grace of Monaco, Princess Diana, Nicole Kidman (and, last month, me) then sold it everywhere. And so forth. This line is by no means an accident. Bauchner spent ten years studying under the likes of Revson and Lauder then struck out on his talented own to match the free-love and revolutionary tenor of his times with perfume. That ethic continues, which is why 27 years after Tea Rose was introduced, this worthy successor arrived. Take Tea Rose, add lots more amber. Voila!
