As a lover of sandalwood, I couldn't resist putting the sample from Perris to the test during a workday with my colleagues.
The result is as brief as my comment.
This is a molecular wood blend up to a green, wet sandalwood note that transforms into a classic with 10% floral dust in the background.
Diptyque's - Tam Dao. However, this one is darker, stronger, better, and not as green.
Santal du Pacifique feels like a spinoff of Tam Dao and unfortunately doesn't quite manage to convince.
Everything is too one-dimensional and neither strong in sillage nor longevity.
The Extrait, on the other hand, is more floral and lively. It can earn 8 points. However, the price is also double, and it doesn't last longer.
I just tested it the other day too. I can see the similarity to Tam Dao, but unfortunately, it feels too dry overall, like a sawmill. I prefer sandalwood to be creamy and soft.
