This time, Perris tried the antithesis to Caron Pour un Homme.
We swap the vanilla for cedar, darken it with blackcurrant, and add a similar musk as the base.
Unfortunately - and this is where potential was wasted - the lavender isn't as lush and varied as in Caron. But it's still quite good.
(Here I am again, sorry. Complaining at a high level.)
What convinces me is the dark intention of the fragrance. It creates a shadow side of the classic, here through the cedar.
I might even rate it better later on.
