Sometimes I see terpenes bursting in clouds of smoke. Something flits between the blades like bitter dew drops. In between, moist roots are sprawling, growing up from the earth. - BIEP - CHRTZ - The substrate an irregular membrane? Undefined dimensions? - BIEP - Strange. Something smells like gasoline. We could still take soil samples. The earth feels oddly wet and clammy, there’s a layer of wood sorrel beneath all that greenish shimmer. Like boreal lights in the sky. Bark dust, black holes of oil. With "Vetiver Planet," the house from Casa Grande in Arizona, which is actually focused on shaving products, has created a truly successful cross-section of various types of sweet grass. Here, green-fresh-earthy-grassy-rooty, sour notes (Indian vetiver) shine initially, before nuttier bark notes of the also earthy vetiver Bourbon from La Reunion and smoky-spicy aromas (typical for Sri Lankan vetiver) expand the diversity of notes. The defining framework is formed by the Haiti vetiver, moist-earthy-nutty, woody-smoky with oily-gasoline-like terpenes. Once this complex accord has come together, it remains intact for many hours, moderate in projection, possibly losing some of its smoky nuances and becoming increasingly transparent.
