relax with a chai masala

A beautiful balsamic, slightly spicy and woody fragrance with a touch of propolis and rose. Silage is medium, kind that does not fill room, yet a friend will comment on. It lasts all day.
Story I get:
'I am in a teahouse drinking spicy sweet masala tea. Roses are on the table. Palo santo is burnt. I relax and slowly sip the tea.'

One person's joy is another's sorrow

Murmur is one of those fragrances that can spark quite a controversy.
It is also a scent that you either love or completely hate.
However, it definitely clings to you and lingers for a long time. My husband said I smelled like an old, shabby sofa that had been soiled by an old cat. Not even an enzyme cleaner could help with that. Right from the start, it has a juicy, clear, animalistic hint, but is clearly underpinned by a fine, yet shallow and sweet note. It somewhat reminds me of strong cocoa. For me, the combination is quite interesting.

What ruins everything, however, is the much too heavy, greasy scent of patchouli that develops over time. No depth, no warm, earthy tones. It's as if someone mixed oil with patchouli. It somehow doesn't fit with the initially sweet animalistic note. Rose water, to my dismay, also comes into play. However, not fresh and cheeky, but rather stale and already infested with algae.

So it lingers for an eternity. It has no soul, no spirit. It drifts in algae water. After a long time, something spicy emerges, pushing woody notes into the fragrance, but they don't reach the surface due to the rose water. The sweet and animalistic antics are still present, but they lose significant importance.

In the end, only a shallow puddle of rose, wood, and patchouli remains. The greasy and oily aspect stayed in my thoughts and nose until the very end. Surely, a little kitten must have done its business in this puddle.

It's a pity, as it seemed to have more potential.
But perhaps this combination appeals to someone else.
