Zapfenstreich

My opinion on the original Pino Silvestre has already been expressed in a comment. As a reminder: I simply do not like this sour-tinged forest scent!

This flanker is offered in the same cone-shaped bottle. The curious thing is: on paper, PSPGE at least in the drydown comes across as finely spicy-green with subtly sweet nuances and a noble character. Exactly the right choice for the rather dignified forester who no longer has to get his hands dirty in his woods and largely avoids the muddy paths.
I like that.

However, on the living object - that is, on me - the scent again presents itself with a slightly sour attitude. Additionally, PSPGE then seems rather synthetic and dull. There is no trace of nature to be found. This may also be due to an excess of lavender, which, in my opinion, needs to be skillfully incorporated into a perfume to blend harmoniously. Well, a few spritzes of orange can certainly be perceived. Moreover, the whole thing reminded me a bit of the Eau de Toilette from Massimo Dutti, which has a significant nutmeg note.
However, that one comes across as much smoother - regardless of the phase.
Longevity and projection are also in need of improvement.

Here, the concept simply does not reveal itself to me. Instead of the cone, a flask would have been more fitting as a bottle.
And if the English word "Gems" is supposed to stand for a masterpiece, then they have a peculiar sense of humor at Pino Silvestre.
In fact, the brand has not done anything to me, and I have a neutral relationship with it. At least I can attest to this offshoot having a bit more wearability and thus also a few more percentage points than the original. The only question is whether I should give myself another Zapfenstreich ...

I smelled the original years ago, but it wasn't my thing, so I’ll skip this one too.

The bottle matches the headline, matches the comment, and probably matches the scent. A nice near-slam! Trophy.

You really have a knack for original headlines. I haven't had any contact with P.S. so far, and it seems to me that doesn't need to change.

The bottle alone is so camp, it can't be taken seriously... L'art pour l'art...
