My First Perfume

I smelled it in a warm summer at Douglas, and it smelled so wonderfully fresh that I was thrilled. After I told my then-girlfriend about it, we decided to gift each other the Police to Be Man and Woman for our birthdays.

The Scent

Is pleasantly fruity and herbal, with a fresh cedar, grapefruit, and violet leaf note. You can also detect the pepper a bit stronger in the later development of the scent. The patchouli adds a slightly sweet and heavy touch, and the amber makes it soft and sweet. I even think I can recognize a dark rounded vetiver note. It does smell somewhat synthetic, but still very pleasant. It reminds me of a darker, higher-quality version of Axe Apollo. Everything is fresh, fruity, and herbal-sweet, even a little dark aquatic, with To Be clearly being the darker of the two illegitimate brothers.

Longevity

is on the low to average side, lasting about 4-6 hours, with it evaporating faster on hotter days.

The Sillage

is okay but not particularly impressive.

In conclusion, it is not a special scent, but rather a pleasant and fresh fragrance that is somewhat unusual, especially due to the heavy-fresh-herbal-sweet-spicy notes that give it a unique charm, reminiscent of a heavier, higher-quality version of Axe Apollo. It’s a simple but not entirely ordinary scent that is worth its price and is one of my favorite summer fragrances, even though I have smelled better ones and have them in my collection now.
