When the noble Italian soap mutated into a bug spray

As a great lover of the so-called clean fragrances, I came across this one a few years ago and I was not disappointed.

Gorgeous! Like a classic piece of pure white soap, the pleasant scent lays around you. Classic mind you, but not stale! It smells simply fresh, clean and well-groomed. Never too loud, but always present.

Well, my bottle with the pretty, purple liquid was nearing the end. Fittingly, I found a good offer online, of course, immediately ordered the 100ml bottle!

Now the disappointing end.

Already when unpacking I realized that the liquid is now transparent, nothing more of the beautiful purple coloring to recognize. I have read nothing about it, neither heard anything about this wonderful fragrance was also subjected to a reformulation. But what came out of the bottle was not even a shadow of the once so proud fragrance. The complete opening now reminds more of a cheap insect spray from the drugstore. Like a completely unround mixture that someone has mixed together and slapped the Prada logo on it. Have it disappointed sent back. Ordered was also on no unserious site.

So, caution advised for all lovers of Prada Amber pour homme :(

Unfortunately, I also had to experience the agonizing transformation from fine Italian soap to mosquito spray 😩😩!

I can only fully endorse the comments made by Matsss. A disappointment and experience richer, I would not order from a dubious online provider. The fragrance smells as pungent as a mosquito or even better hairspray. So be careful when buying a current batch. This no longer has anything in common with the URSPRUNGS-DNA from 2006, the fragrance of fine luxury soap.

You speak from my soul! What L'Oreal has done with this masterpiece is a real disgrace. I don't understand how the highly aproned Mme Andrier can agree to something like this. Or does a perfumer have no say in reformulations?
Does anyone know if there were any other similar disasters when Puig switched to L'Oréal? What has become of the Olfactories (apart from the fact that they have become more expensive)?

You could make friends with more expensive if you were getting the same product. What doesn't get more expensive these days? But as a customer, I can't tolerate this kind of bullying. It's like the baker selling yesterday's bread rolls as freshly baked today. Especially as a prominent brand like Prada, I think that's pretty shameful.

I loved this fragrance when it was still light purple. How can you do something like that to a fragrance. Shelf life only 2 std.

I love this "prada l homme his father" fragrance. I still have about 50ml in my 100ml bottle and I have no desire for the moment when it comes to an end.... And when I read your review too.... Oh god oh god... The fragrance is (was?!??) truly a dream.
Cup from me 👌🏾

Thank you. Yes, I loved it too. Terrible what they do with so many scents. Can forget it.
