The slightly different use...
There are days, maybe you know this too, when you could just climb the walls from all the fidgeting, nervousness, and hyperactivity. Either I try to vent my energy through martial arts, or if there's no time for that... I fragrance myself with Prada Amber... Please don't get me wrong - either or - but I wouldn't wear it while exercising :)
If I were to use any fresh scent like Cool Water in this state, I would be off like Speedy Gonzales, nervously pacing around the office, driving everyone crazy with my restlessness and raising unnecessary questions... I know it sounds a bit strange, but for me, Prada acts like an olfactory sedative. This doesn't mean I would lay my head on the office desk and fall asleep, but it simply calms me down immensely (goodbye valerian tablets!).
When I spray it on, it catapults me back to my childhood. I'm still trying to figure out why, but I just can't pinpoint it; it might be the bergamot that comes through very strongly for me. After the bergamot kiss, I get wonderfully lulled, warm, fluffy soft but not too sweet... and my nerves calm down, I become more tranquil, balanced, and relaxed, I also feel "more grown-up".. :-)
Fortunately, it is "daytime suitable" on me; it doesn't "boom" too much (which my mother would tell me, she may not be the youngest anymore, but her sense of smell still works very well. She is my indicator for overly strong fragrances). The patchouli always lingers delicately in the background, even after hours I can still perceive it when the warm, woody, resinous notes start to emerge. Truly an incredible scent that you don't always perceive the same way.
For emergencies, I always carry a decant in my handbag...

Ein toller Duft, den ich leider irgendwie viel zu selten trage. Eine beruhigende Wirkung konnte ich aber bislang nicht feststellen ;) Ich trage ihn eher abends zum Ausgehen, da wäre das auch kontraproduktiv!
