In the heart of the fragrance, it reminds me a bit of Guerlain's Lui. I'm not sure if it's the sandalwood, but from the base onward, it feels a bit too much for me...

Yes, I can understand that. I find the newer black Olfactories not as convincing so far, this one is still the nicest. However, I haven't tested Velvet Morning yet.
