THE GENTLEMAN’S SUEDE
Despite the name, this isn’t your typical ambery scent. In fact, there’s hardly any amber at all. What you get instead is a beautifully straightforward leather-suede perfume. Minimalist, refined.
It opens with a soft medicinal edge. Just a smooth, realistic suede note that dominates from start to finish. Think brand-new suede shoes fresh out of the box, or the inner lining of a suede jacket you definitely shouldn’t wear in the rain.
The base layers in some earthy patchouli, dry woods, smoky resins, and a touch of vetiver, but they all play second fiddle to suede. The patchouli, in particular, stands out more than the rest, giving it a grounded, slightly damp texture. Earthy but not dirty. Clean but not sterile.
This is a monotone scent in the best way, a suede solinote with just enough depth to feel complete.
