Amber Suede Precious Liquid 2022
1
It's a STRONG suede, and that's about it.
Personal: 6/10 - It's basically JUST leather/suede. It's very simple, and I don't like how leathery it is.
Mass appeal: 6/10 - Though leather CAN be approachable, this isn't. It's just straight up animal hide.
Performance: 7/10 - It's fine but not remarkable. Surprising, given its leathery dominance.
Value: 5/10 - It's not cheap, but you do get a real solid hitter of a leather fragrance for the price.
Uniqueness: 6.5/10 - It's extremely vivid suede/leather and that's about it. Not something you see every day, but still fairly simple.
SCORE: 61/100
Full bottle buy? NO, I respect it, but it's not something I find wearable at all.
Blind buy? NO, it's just LEATHER. Unless you want something photorealistic, buyer beware.
Recommend? YES, if you want to smell like a new leather jacket.
Date night? NO, it's too harsh and leathery. Not for a first date, at least. Unless you ride a Harley.
Office safe? NO, it's loud despite soft projection.
Pros: Refined, realistic leather. Great for someone who may not like fragrances, but enjoys fresh leather.
Cons: Expensive. Fairly simple. Performance is mediocre.
Despite having somewhat complex notes, I actually find this to be an extremely simple leather/suede fragrance that's pretty linear. The leather sticks around through the top, mid, and base, but the background spices change a bit. That said, it's simple and relatively inoffensive, as long as it isn't oversprayed. I don't hate it, but I really don't love it. It's just TOO leathery.
Warm, photorealistic suede. It smells like a new leather jacket, or a new belt. Not for me.
*Review #45 in my fragrance journey - this fragrance I own as a decant*
