Elegant Powdery Scent for Men - Without Pear
Sprayed on at 8:00 AM ... still clearly noticeable at 4:00 PM ... still perceivable up close at 7:00 PM ... not bad ...
I love pears - especially when they are ripe but still firm (and with some Roquefort ;-), but I usually find the pear scent in perfumes to be unpleasant.
Not here, as nothing smells like 'pear', neither in a negative nor a positive sense.
A musk note is clearly detectable, as well as a (baby-) powdery iris note, but it is all pleasantly enveloped in something warm, sweet-spicy, and woody. That must be the lavender and the Virginia cedar ...
Dior Homme is mentioned as a 'model' ... apparently, all sorts of mischief have been done over the years ... there is a very wide range of reviews for the variations ... unfortunately, I don't know a single one so far.
So the bottle does resemble it in some way ...
Let's put it this way: Illusion Intense by Privé is a very long-lasting, pleasant, warm-powdery-spicy-sweet scent that is suitable for a signature fragrance. For significantly less than €20.
And all without pear. Good scent.

Of course, the perceived longevity also depends on how much you use. Since this is not a strong/biting/penetrating scent for me, but rather a soft/mild/pleasant one, I can spray a bit more.
A fragrance is "right" for each person in their personally comfortable amount... or not.
