The Unbearably Beautiful Lightness of Being.....

A fragrance can have so many facets, yet when it brushes past us unnoticed, gently and unobtrusively caressing us while still taking our breath away, ....then it is truly a delight. Roma Imperiale is an olfactory spirit, barely perceptible yet very strongly present. It appears to draw attention to itself and then hides behind an invisible veil to remain unforgettable. It is still there, but we cannot manage to grasp it....
~
With a captivatingly elegant opening, the olfactory journey of Roma Imperiale begins. A hint of bergamot, not too fresh, merges with the oily sweetness of neroli, rounded off by the woody spice of cinnamon, rosewood, and coriander seeds*.
The richness of the top note lasts only a few fleeting moments before laying down a gentle veil upon which a dance of harmoniously coordinated flowers takes place, filled with such an aromatic creamy sweetness that it takes my breath away. I pause and dare not let go of this heavenly scent. I want to reach for it, hold it tight, bind it to me ...
But nothing of the sort succeeds. This fragrance is so light, so weightless, that while it constantly embraces and touches me with its incomprehensibly enchanted charm, it does not truly settle on me. A fine silk web envelops me, yet when I try to touch it, it dissolves, only to spin itself around me anew. This game can be repeated countless times, as Roma Imperiale boasts a remarkable longevity at its heart.
The base forms a pleasantly powdery finish, where a warm woody note lays over the dance, wonderfully accentuating the delicate yet radiant elegance of the fragrance and allowing it to glide away softly and agreeably. Civet and oakmoss keep the fragrance in harmonious balance at the end, ensuring it does not get lost in agreeable sweetness .....
~
Conclusion:
Roma Imperiale is truly a stunningly elegant fragrance that, despite its gentle aura, instantly touches the spirit. There is a clear presence of luxury and elegance, entirely unobtrusive, as if it were the facet of a fragrance that only calls to us from afar.....
This is how I imagine the unbearably sweet and lovely lightness of being in the form of a fragrance -
High quality and of unforgettable beauty!
Roma Imperiale is creamy, floral, and presents itself in an intangible opulence. When you get close, it feels warm and almost intoxicating.
The price is absolutely justified in this case. Consider that 140,- Euros is for 100ml, which translates to 42,- Euros for 30ml. This price is a healthy middle ground in the mainstream category, where olfactorily it is extremely rare to find even remotely the quality and beauty of Roma Imperiale.

Coriander seeds*:
The question has come up several times about how coriander seeds might smell. I took the effort to grind a few seeds (commonly used in Indian cuisine) in a mortar. The result: a woody, slightly bittersweet scent, almost a bit inconspicuous....
It will probably only come to expression in combination with other oils!

Spot on comment. RI really does smell very high-quality and unique. Unfortunately, civet ruined this powdery dream for me.
