Roma Imperiale is, for me, a prime example that one should NEVER dismiss a fragrance after the first test. Because this perfume and I did not fall in love at first sniff. Nor on the second or third. But why I tested it more than once, I can no longer say. There must have been something about it after all.
I admit that it was also the opinion of others that prompted further tests. I wore it for fun at the office, and one of my colleagues was totally blown away by the scent and wouldn’t leave my side: This perfume smelled expensive, really noble, noticeable but not overpowering, and would just suit me perfectly! Well, who would dismiss such a fragrance?!
It was always the top note that I struggled with. Because it starts off fresh and very spicy for me. Too spicy. And it stays that way for quite a while. The creaminess that has been mentioned so often here, I couldn't initially identify. But it comes, slowly and quietly creaming into the heart note. And it carries through the wonderful, heavenly base that delights the nose for many hours (about ten hours for me)!
Roma Imperiale smells noble and expensive, spicy, soft, warm, flattering, luxuriously creamy, shifting, present, yet not at all overpowering, floral but not too flowery, and sweetness is present but perfectly balanced. Two spritzes last all day long. Even if you don’t perceive it yourself, others smell it very clearly! Roma Imperiale fits just as well in the office as it does for an evening out and absolutely has the potential to be a signature scent. Wearable all year round, except perhaps in real heat. Although unisex, I still find it quite feminine. Somewhere I read: “Like a warm cashmere scarf on a cool summer evening.” Bingo! That’s exactly it and could hardly be better described!
The more I wear it, the less the top note bothers me. I know what beautiful things await me! That’s why at least one decant had to join my collection. After all, a warm cashmere scarf is something a woman can always use.
Sounds great! I love something elegant for the nose, as well as smelling like a luxurious body lotion. At first, I was bothered by the top note of Narciso R. Edt. But it got better with each wear. What a transformation!
Yes, nice this one! :-) It reminds me a lot of Boudoir, but it's more elegant and fruity. So go ahead and get the piggy bank ready, maybe the colleagues in the office will chip in too ^^
Wool and I just don't get along, not at all, it itches me. No matter which one, I get the chills just thinking about it. The scent, I don't know, so much jasmine and fake jasmine, I would have to test it. But whatever, **Pokal+**.
Thank you! :-)
My journey to this fragrance was similar.
