Oh - this is a lovely scent. Simply lovely and gentle. Cuddly and clearly feminine for me. I didn't know it, and then Pluto sends me a generous fragrance mail and includes a sample of this fine perfume. She must have read my comments on the comments, the dear.
It's not a scent that blows me away; it's just there, quite naturally, and it already feels familiar as I spray and test it on my wrist. The name alone sounds so fine and noble, just as the scent smells. "Roma Imperiale." I let it linger on my tongue, and also the house it comes from, "Profumi del Forte" - anyone with such a name must have something to offer. And yes, it does.
It smells elegant and beautiful. "Beautiful" is the word that fits best for me. Beautiful is one of my favorite words, even though it sounds quite flat. There is no more fitting word for beauty than beautiful. Soft like a tender caress, classic and noble. Roma Imperiale spontaneously reminds me of scents like "Ombre Rose," even though it doesn't smell like that at all. It's the soul of this perfume that conveys this similarity to me. A woman who wears this scent wants to show a very gentle, feminine side of herself and appear subtly erotic. It's hard to explain Roma Imperiale. While wearing it, it becomes warmer and more lovely. Rosewood and my beloved vanilla contribute to this, but it is not overly vanilla. With all my love for the opposite sex, this scent is for us women. This is how "perfumy perfumes" smell to me, lipsticks, creams, luxurious, silky body powders. Make-up.
This is not a showstopper that screams loudly about how great it smells. No. The woman who is drawn to this scent and wants to wear it doesn't need to set herself apart with striking fragrances; she has a different, calmer presence.
I inhale this scent deeply, and suddenly there is also a very pleasant sweetness that I can't get enough of. Everything smells harmonious, rounded, balsamic, and also rich. But not too heavy; rather, the right weight so that this lovely aroma settles on the skin and doesn't float away. Velvety-sweet comes to mind - floral, although jasmine, tuberose, and ylang-ylang do not appear individually but create a very harmonious whole.
The scent convinces me more and more. It could be a bit stronger for my taste, as I do love powerful scents, but then it wouldn't be the fragrance I have described here. It is not loud but gentle and lovely. Perhaps it could be the child of Roma and Poeme, but created in a much more subtle way.
If it weren't so expensive, I might be able to afford it. Maybe someday...
Such a lovely, delightful comment :-) The scent itself reminded me quite a bit of Boudoir, just without that powdery heaviness; it's lighter and fruitier. And definitely thoroughly feminine!
Oh, I found the sillage of this fragrance to be quite expansive if you're not careful! Two sprays nearly filled the whole office... ;) However, something about this scent bothered me over time, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
A lovely scent that's described so beautifully has to be nice. Unfortunately, a sample didn't have that effect on me, and I exchanged it. Now I can't give it a second chance, what a pity!
