Le Male for Adults!
I still haven't given up the search for a lasting Reflection Man on me, and as luck would have it, I've recently found myself at Profumum Roma quite often! Thanks to a nice deal with Skubi, I got my hands on the beautiful Stilo (too bad only a few brands offer something like this) from Antico Caruso. What sounds like an open singer is a damn delicious "Le Male-Reflection Man-Pegasus-Sculpture scent" for the over-30 crowd!
Antico starts with a fresh herbal note with a slightly sweet touch, it could be something like the lavender-tonka mix from Le Male, it's fresh-sweet overall! But after just 3-4 minutes, a bitter green note joins in; if I had to guess blindly, I would have immediately thought of oakmoss, like a diluted Thundra-Victrix essence, but I can't assign that note to the fragrance pyramid! This gives the scent a pretty decent "masculine" touch and is far from the sweetness of Le Male! I quite like the ethereal-fresh touch, it has something of a hint of Club Colonia by AdP! This is how I would have wished Le Male Ultra to be... but they opted for a sugar bomb in the hot summer... "cool" marketing;-)!
The longer the scent is on the skin, the fresher and more bitter it becomes, without completely shedding the sweetness! There isn't much more development, and it doesn't need to... everything fits wonderfully as it is. I can wear this "Le Male" variant without hesitation, and there's also a significant risk of confusion.
The longevity is PR at its best, 8 hours go by quite comfortably, just like the original Le Male. The sillage is not disco-like, but still quite generous, yet never intrusive due to the pleasant freshness!
A large bottle would be too much of a good thing for me here, but having a Stilo every now and then fits wonderfully!
