The perhaps perfect mix of old school and modern?!
I wanted to explore the fragrances of Ralph Lauren for ages, but somehow nothing ever appealed to me. Then I saw the Moroccan Neroli and thought it might suit my taste - and it did.
It evoked many memories and associations in me - my grandparents' bathroom (doesn't sound appealing at first, but it's meant positively), a good washing soap, green leaves, and citrus notes. The Moroccan Neroli has pretty much everything I like in a fresh scent, implementing it quite classically, but thanks to its citrus notes, it never loses touch with modern perfumery.
What I like best is that both the citrus notes and the lavender, as well as the green aspects (moss and vetiver), smell extremely natural. Here you get 0.0% synthetic. After countless shower gel scents and sweet citrus bombs, this is a relief. Its natural radiance gives it an almost airy character, it wears like a second skin and gives you the feeling of just having showered and rubbed yourself with leaves. However, it’s never musty, never intrusive, just perfectly rounded.
The sillage and longevity are absolutely fine. I personally like to layer it with Iso E Super and get (as a result) between 8-10 hours of longevity, while the sillage naturally retreats after 2-3 hours (which I appreciate here and wouldn’t have expected otherwise due to the concentration).
Linear, clear, classic, green, citrusy, and clean: for me, it’s an almost perfect fragrance that wonderfully masters the fine line between being too old school and timeless!
