Leather and Wood with Synthetics
Black Ash starts off slightly smoky and predominantly leathery. The scent profile is rather weak, and based on the fragrance pyramid, one can already sense that no wide range of aromas is to be expected. After a few minutes, the perfume comes across as quite synthetic to me. Yes, it really does seem as if a hard plastic packaging is being opened. Black Ash does indeed take some time to unfold better; later it becomes spicy, dry, and slightly sweet. Then, distinctly woody incense emerges, along with the main ingredient, Ambroxan. There is no real scent development taking place here. In conclusion, I find Cocaine Black Ash to be a somewhat better drugstore fragrance with its weaknesses.
