My Personal Non plus Ultra
ONE comment for this fragrance and it has been so torn apart?
Okay, clearly - I have a different opinion! A completely different opinion!
The statement from Venice is more in line with my wavelength with the adjectives stylish, noble, and subtle.
But about the scent: this is a musk, unmistakably. A profound, almost spicy musk, not to be compared with the crystal musks that appear bright, clear, and pure. Also far from Muscs Kublai Khan or Kiehl's Musk, which come across as animalistic and louder.
Musk Oriental Goldskin gives me the impression of being a syrup upon application, why, I can't really explain, the liquid is not thicker than others, but it probably has to do with the scent itself, which possesses a unique depth. I can't smell bergamot here, unlike many other fragrances where bergamot is in the top note. It is completely unsweet, which may be due to the ginger. In my opinion, jasmine only adds a subtle touch; I can't directly sniff this note either. The progression is relatively unspectacular to my nose, meaning there are no major changes. After application, the spicy-musk base comes quite quickly and stays and stays and stays, as noble as it is - for hours. I love it just like that!
All in all, the perfume is simply well-rounded, incredibly sensual, and the most valuable in my collection, not just because of the price (I was lucky and managed to get a tester cheaply years ago), but because of its uniqueness and specialness. I actually only use it for special occasions and receive countless compliments every time. My daughter also likes to "borrow" it. It suits her, a dark-haired and mysterious yet confident young woman, even better than it does me, the blonde...
The only similarly unique scent in my thoughts is Le Labo Musc 25, which I remember as being softer rather than spicier.
What I also could do without is the gold in the bottle, but so what - it's just there...

Terra - it's worth taking another sniff, including enjoying the scent's evolution. ;-)
Kiki, great to hear from you! I often think about those times too. *hugs*
