The Gentleman Oud

Of course, Ramon Monegal has his Oud fragrance... however, the name hints at it in a somewhat reserved manner, and the scent itself is one of the calmest, softest Oud fragrances I know - and that without becoming really creamy or even sweet!

The scent: soft, woody, dry, brown through and through. Oud and musk are the stars, cleverly conveying a leather association in their interplay. And despite its everyday suitability, which is hard to find among Oud fragrances, especially in the niche, it promises depth and draws interest. It is masculine enough and best worn in the golden autumn. Certainly not for Oud pros or fans of the harder style, but perhaps for beginners in the subject who do not want to be overwhelmed or frightened - because this is one of the gentlest forms of Oud, without completely missing the point!

Bottle: as usual
Sillage: herbaceous-woody, but rather tame, almost suitable for everyday wear
Longevity: 7-9 hours - thanks to a lasting base.

Conclusion: a beautifully wearable Oud fragrance that could just as well pass as a leather scent!

The leather stays nicely understated. I find this scent very wearable.
