red lacquer and a bright--red rubber boot

While wandering through the city to finally buy all the Christmas gifts, I "accidentally" walked past one of my favorite perfumeries, which mainly carries niche perfumes....

"Alright, just a quick look, see what's new, get a brief impression and then back to the gift hunt!" - This was my thought as I entered the store...

The lovely saleswoman waved to me from afar and wanted to introduce me to all the scents right away, oh how nice... ;-)
I told her that I just wanted to take a "quick" look at the new arrivals, and off we went.... I got to know the 5 new scents in about 10 minutes, but now I had already been in the store for 45 minutes... What had happened?

"Here, take a look at this one, .....or that one, .....oh you might like this one too, .....oh and you have to sniff this one....." Yes, you all know how it is... once you're in, bam, time flies and it's already dark outside ;-) hahaha...

The newcomers didn't really blow me away, so the lovely saleswoman showed me a few scents that I might also like.... She remembered that I love saffron and somehow we ended up on Ramon Monegal's Flamenco....

Although I don't really like fruity scents at all, I find that the raspberry is really well incorporated here and hardly noticeable on my skin...

After spraying, I first notice a rather medicinal note - yes, I really like that... the more medicinal, the better :) It almost smells sterile, a band-aid comes to mind and an unnaturally artificial lacquer note... Hmmm... do I like this? I can't say yet....

This artificial lacquer note quickly transforms into a rubbery saffron scent, now that's something I like...! great!

There’s a subtle sweetness that softens this rubber note... added to this is a fine, rather background red rose... Beautiful, elegant, and delicate....
A gentle powdery touch surrounds the now slightly sweet-fruity saffron, which still presents itself somewhat rubbery.... I don't really recognize the raspberry itself, there's just a fine fruitiness that wonderfully complements the rubbery saffron... Maybe that's why it doesn't bother me....

In the base, fine woods come in, giving the scent enormous hold and rounding it off beautifully...

All in all, I would say Flamenco is very successful!
The top note with the lacquer-like touch might be a bit of an adjustment at first... but the heart and base are so wonderful and unique that they make up for it all....

So, about 1 hour and a lot of scent impressions later, I'm back on the street, with a smile on my face and a sample of Flamenco in my bag :)

Since I always want to test a scent thoroughly first, I didn't take Flamenco home that day... BUT after further testing, it turned out that I really like the scent - including the lacquer-like top note - and so it happened that the scent has now moved in with me in the meantime :-)

I think that it is precisely this lacquer-like - rubbery note that makes the scent so unique, and that's exactly what I love - uniqueness :-)

Very nice comment! The scent probably isn't for me, even though I love roses and raspberries ;) But you described the Christmas perfume visit so beautifully - I really enjoyed reading it :)

Wonderful. I'm a bit skeptical, but curious...

Medicinal and saffron gum note - I know, sometimes that can smell uniquely good.
