Wuthering Heights
Uncompromisingly, the cool feelings crash over the wind-swept heights of the moors in Yorkshire. Gnarled pines stand askew on rugged heath cliffs, dramatically rising from the marshy bogs below. Winds blow through the wild hair of Heathcliff, who tumbles in an inexplicable state of ecstasy through the peppermint, swirling cool green clouds, enveloping him in an ethereal aura. In a surreal sequence of nature-mystical metaphor, the pines weep a few needles, whose husks split on Heathcliff's skin, containing bright resins.
Then gusts soon bring bergamot, circling the mint like sweet limes, settling ripe, almost orange into the scene. "I am Heathcliff," drips from Cathy's lips. The words fade, the mint, the husks, then it becomes quiet on Wuthering Heights.
Almost silently, the conifers fall into the earth-washed grasses, Heathcliff becomes one with the heath cliffs, and then nothing happens for two hours.

"Heathcliff" is a perfume oil from Tanya Kuznetsova's Ravenscourt Apothecary, which she has been operating in London since 2013. In addition to the natural perfume oils, which are naturally limited in longevity (about three to five hours) and sillage (rather arm's length to skin close), she also produces other products such as natural soaps.
"Heathcliff" is a green, ethereally fresh scent dedicated to the titular protagonist from Emily Brontë's "Wuthering Heights," who is also seen as a personified metaphor for the untamed nature of the Yorkshire moors. This works just as well with the ethereal mint at the beginning (here the mint could represent Heathcliff's wild character) as it does in the base of earthy vetiver and pine (the original vegetation of the moors). However, what bergamot is doing in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales remains Kuznetsova's secret.
