A Slightly Weaker Twin
In my opinion, Love & Roses is almost a 1:1 copy of Anais Anais by Cacharel, as indicated by the identical fragrance pyramid. Speaking of fragrance pyramid: like its big sister, this scent is absolutely linear for my nose. There is no trace of the 'richer' ingredients in the base note. To my dismay, I am not very skilled at picking out individual fragrance components. Rose, honeysuckle, and lily of the valley stand out to me somewhat clearly. Otherwise, what dominates is what one would probably call the famous 'white flower accord.' Floral-sweet with slight green undertones, that's it. Admittedly, this mixture probably just barely grazed nature, but one can say the same for significantly more expensive perfumes these days. The bottle is not exactly impressive, longevity and sillage are rather average, but for just under three euros, one can certainly afford to reapply or spray a bit more. As a fan of the original, I find this dupe quite acceptable for a lovely spring day (or even now, to lure out the snowdrops, lol). Recommendation to buy!
