Réminiscence Réminiscence 2010

After I have long cherished the last drops of a 10-ml bottle, I finally searched the internet for a good deal again, inspired by the memory of the last comment here, and now I own 120 ml of this wonderful fragrance for me at a bargain price.

For me, the perfume is incredibly sensual. I find the edgy base exciting - overly soft fragrances quickly become mundane and uninteresting. After a (long) while, pepper and anise recede in favor of the rounding vanilla and labdanum, and on the skin, a woody-vanilla note lingers for a long time, reminiscent of dark honey. I envision a dark-haired woman (I am, however, blonde ;-)), wrapped in a cozy blanket, sitting in front of a fireplace with a tea in hand, while a storm rages outside, and her partner just comes out of the shower...
The scent progression is relatively consistent; I don't notice significant changes, it just becomes rounder, the scratchiness of the base fades away. I think it's a beautiful autumn/winter fragrance, and I am very happy to own a large bottle in light of the upcoming season.
Somehow, the scent reminds me of Serge Lutens' Miel de Bois, but it has been a long time since I smelled that.
