A damp forest with herbs growing around
The notes are listed on the box, so I'll copy them here (love it when brands do this!)
Top: Beech, Dill, Anise, Lavender, Lemon, Mint, Thyme
Heart: Leather, Cashmere wood, Osmanthus, Geranium
Base: White amber, Vanilla
I mainly get the herbs and woods from the opening, especially the thyme, it's very medicinal and strong, I honestly get a bit of eucalyptus too. It also smells damp, like a dark forest immediately after rainfall. Then it slowly gets warmer and sweeter, the herbs are not up in you face anymore but they still linger around. The amber and vanilla gets stronger with the woods still clearly present. I don't really detect the geranium or osmanthus.
It's a beautiful and multi-dimensional scent, I fell in love with it the very first sniff. Became my everyday go-to cheapie. And it lasts for a pretty long time too, I can smell it on myself after I get home from work, 10+ hours from the time I sprayed it on. Obviously becomes closer to the skin, but still very detectable. On clothes it lasts for eternity. I can still smell it on shirts after they've been washed.
I really like the wooden cap, but it smells strange, like an old musty wine cellar. Luckily the fragrance itself is not like that.
I think this might be a clone of Mugler Alien Man, the notes are extremely similar although I can't be sure since I've never smelled it. Might try sometime and report back.
