No aqua here, a beast is peeing!
Oh dear, there’s nothing written here yet, neither scent notes nor comments. Well, my nose will have to navigate through the fog blindfolded...
I discovered this fragrance at an Advent flea market and, although it wasn’t a bargain, I took it home. My curiosity was too great, as I could immediately tell it was old and just hoped it hadn’t gone off. It hasn’t. However, one shouldn’t be misled by the name of this fragrance. Because aquatic, fresh, or maritime, there’s absolutely nothing here! Well, I suspected something like that already, since the label on the bottle looks very old, and back then fresh sporty scents for women were still rather unknown ;) And just upon unscrewing and sniffing the bottle, it becomes clear: Here lurks a real blast from the past: Aldehydes, as far as the nose can smell. And hardly have they faded away when some animal pees on my leg or rather on my arm! Phew, that piercing urine note makes me gasp for air...
Fortunately, it doesn’t last long, and you can hardly believe it, but after the massive opening, the fragrance actually becomes softer. Gradually, a few timid little flowers bloom, which I unfortunately cannot identify. I also smell something slightly leathery, and there’s definitely some animal in there. And probably not just one... All in all, Aquamarine is a heavy and musky scent.
When I smell this fragrance, I see silver-white curls in front of me, on which a mohair hat is perched while enjoying cake in a café, so that the freshly permed waves won’t be ruined... - So, I hope I’ve somewhat avoided the nasty word “O…d…” now, but unfortunately, this association keeps pushing itself on me, because this fragrance is really, really OLDSCHOOL!
But I love sniffing old fragrances that were once in vogue in a completely different time, and so this was a very exciting experience. Some manage to make the leap into today, others do not. In my opinion, Aquamarine has remained stuck in its time of creation. I would definitely not wear it, but the test was worth it!

It's great that you commented on the fragrance so nicely.
Just grabbing the *Frau im Spiegel* while I sit under the hair dryer.
