My opinion of this one changed
When I initially tested this, I wasn’t overly impressed. I really liked the opening but it faded into a citrusy floral perfume that just wasn’t for me. Fast forward 3 months and after retesting it, my opinion changed. This just goes to show the importance of allowing samples to sit for a while before passing judgement on a scent.

So this is actually a really beautiful, clean, fresh smelling floral perfume. To me it smells like you are standing in a garden of soft white florals and there are clean, cotton sheets on a clothes line swaying in the summer breeze. This really is a lovely, feminine scent. Had I just gone off my initial impression the first week I got this, it would have been a pass….. I’m not sure I love it enough to add it to my collection, but it’s a decent like for now.

When the Latin lover turns out to be blonde Paul with a bouquet of white flowers in his arms
And another candidate whose name and fragrance don't go together at all. Latin Lover, it makes you think of a certain sultriness, somehow a little sticky, perhaps sweet (vanilla in the base), definitely dark hair with promade. In short: not my hunting direction at all. Nevertheless, I found the fragrance pyramid here very appealing and well, I needed a 5th sample for the Carner tester set, so I took it with me.

Everything is gray here today, it's raining at 10°C, so fresh citrus doesn't really fit and so the first thing I reached for was our LatinLover. When I'm completely clueless, I dose carefully at first. Nevertheless, I was immediately enveloped in a cuddly soft, unsweet white floral fragrance. No trace of bergamot in the top note. Latin Lover? Not a trace of sweet temperament, here is rather a blond Paul, dressed in a beige woolen sweater and carrying a white bouquet of flowers, politely asking for coffee. The bottle fits the fragrance (and Paul) surprisingly well, light wood, angular. Very reminiscent of the bottles with wood from Clean.

Jasmine/magnolia/lily of the valley is the holy trinity of the white fragrance lover, musk is the icing on the cake for durability and creaminess. Nevertheless, there is a lot you can do wrong, there is often a risk of headaches from too much sweetness or grandma's powder puff sends its regards. It's a fine line you have to walk. For my (!) taste, the quartet at Carner comes around the corner quite powerfully, then flattens out a little but remains at a level that would be too much for the office, but is great for a date/evening. It reminds me a little of the Narcisso Rodriguez fragrances but - very importantly - without vanilla and with a little more substance. I really like it!

As the fragrance progresses, nothing becomes sweet, white creaminess remains. Evil tongues could again make the comparison to expensive body lotion. But there is a fan base for such "cuddly soft and clean" fragrances and they are very well served here and have a new all-purpose weapon in their arsenal.

Exciting to read here that many describe it as light and fresh, I would definitely have placed it on the "heavier" half of my collection.

After an hour, the silage subsides to a socially acceptable level, although I didn't get overly fogged with it either. Durability still needs to be tested at a slightly higher dosage, the spray was still easy to smell close to the body after 5 hours.
Available in two sizes: 50ml for 105€/ 100ml for 160€

Certainly the beige and white floral musk fragrance is not being reinvented here and there are various alternatives, but I really like the scent and it has at least qualified for the 15ml 3-piece set (a totally underrated size that I personally find incredibly practical and keeps my financial ruin somewhat in check)

Love Me Tender...
The fragrance reminds me of this song by Elvis Presley.
He does not correspond so at all to the name of the perfume, but his loveliness has convinced me!
Magnolia, bergamot & jasmine combine to create an impressive opening that lasts quite a 1/2 hour.
Then the creamy musk joins in, which actually gives the fragrance something seductive.
I wore it to work and was just on my way to a wedding when a colleague (who is usually really critical-about everything!) pointed out how beautiful the scent was.
It's not an earth-shattering scent- but it's mine & I'm already looking forward to the 2nd bottle!

Synthetic flower water with alien DNA
First impression, Alien Eau de Parfum, only not so overwhelmingly sweet. But after 5 minutes, only Alien DNA in the background. A synthetic light floral fragrance cloud spreads and lasts for about 2 hours. After that, only skin-deep.
Wearable at any time of day.
Latin Lover Eau de Parfum is an inconspicuous daily companion for the office or other activities. Simply not intrusive.

Unfortunately, the name suggests something different. A fragrance full of passion - a fragrance of seduction with dark rose or delicate, caressing vanilla.
But unfortunately neither of these is the case.

Too bad.
Definitely not a candidate for me to buy.

Advent, Advent... Latin lover or alien?
Door No. 14:

Today I found the Latin Lover Eau de Parfum in my advent calendar.
After the Rock Star failed to inspire me yesterday, I was hoping for a passionate lover with Latin American flair today.

The fragrance starts with light citrus and strong, tropical flowers.
After a short time, jasmine sambac absolute takes over and the fragrance is reminiscent of Alien Eau de Parfum, or rather... a spirited South American cousin of Alien, who seduces with a ylang-ylang blossom in his buttonhole.
Jasmine remains present until the base, which is very clean with musk, warm with benzoin and somewhat earthy with patchouli.

The fragrance is an olfactory flirt that seduces you... Latin Lover stays close, but all night long.
But it is not sticky... rather seductive and self-confident.
For me, Latin Lover Eau de Parfum is a feminine fragrance.
