Like so many of us here, I received this fragrance as a gift during my shopping at a Rituals store. I tested it directly on my wrist and continued to stroll through the city center. I caught myself so many times bringing my wrist to my nose. I really liked it a lot and wore it for days in winter, feeling so cozy and warm. Now, a few years later, having delved more into perfumes and scents, I must say, it is so niche and incredibly underrated! It has something! The longevity on my skin is also impressive.
It is oriental, sweet, and I do not perceive the incense as unpleasant at all. The first vanilla-incense that I have fallen in love with. It reminds me of a wellness day and, through the woods, of sauna visits in winter.
But the real reason why I pulled this lovely gem out again is due to "Guidance | Amouage." I tested it today and rediscovered a slight similarity. I am not saying that this is a dupe of "Guidance | Amouage," but the similarity in the incense is enormous. I immediately associated it with Oriental Essence - Elixir d'Orient and promptly moved my old bottle back to the front of my collection and rediscovered it.
I look forward to the colder days to wear it again and smell very special for little money.
Yes, it's really great and stands out from the other Rituals scents. The combination of incense and vanilla is very well done; the fragrance has a pleasant sweetness, and the smoky-spicy notes add a bit of edge.
