Vanilla Overkill

Oro is a sweet-heavy fruity-ambered oriental. It starts very briefly with a strong burst of pepper and coriander-spiced magnolia. Fresh notes like apple and bergamot don’t stand a chance here. One must already enjoy this sweet mixture of sugary apricot and vanilla, which reveals itself after a few minutes and merges with the spice-infused magnolia. Additionally, sweet amber, patchouli, and musk join in, along with a hint of woody notes, and the sweetness does not diminish over time. Vanilla from start to finish. The iris listed in the pyramid as a top note has clearly fled in the face of the overwhelming sweetness and hasn’t shown itself at all.
As soon as the heart note reveals itself, Oro becomes strikingly similar to the Chopard classic and 90s hit Casmir, developing almost exactly the same sweet note that helped create more space on the subway back in the early 90s when Casmir was released. As with Casmir, a very sparing application is recommended for Oro as well.
Like Casmir, Oro is by no means an elegant perfume, but those who love sweet, heavily vanilla-laden orientals will also appreciate Oro.

Finally, a fragrance I don't have to test! Thanks for that!
